Funny story about today... the missionaries knocked on my and I couldn't make myself answer it because my very small apartment looks like this. Even if you squish past the boxes to the couch, there's an air mattress covering the entire floor. And you don't even wanna know what the kitchen looks like. Good glory. The good news is I bought a cordless drill today so I can put the chairs together without bruising my hand further. Then the boxes will be gone, I can clean, sand then invite them to dinner to make up for it.

Ah days off. I try to make it a point to take one day of my days off during the week have absolutely nothing scheduled. This involves sleeping until I'm not tired. Sometimes that's 8 hours, sometimes it's 14, but it always feels fabulous!

One of the best nights at work good a while. I was the clinical resource RN for 6 hours, and had non-stop critical and/or coding patients. Hence the ghost-town chart rack in the resus zone... everyone was actually busy resuscitating. It was amazing!

When it's triple digits in Seattle you cope by spending the afternoon at the air conditioned mall. Highlights: jamba juice for dinner, new kiss me lip gloss, and a shiny new white phone with an Aggie blue cover. Oh, and I almost forgot: new cereal bowls because all I've eaten lately is cereal, all mine are dirty, and I don't want to run the dishwasher :)

Today the world lost an amazing lady. And as I walked into work, I couldn't help but think that the sky was perfect. The clouds were dark to mourn her loss, but the opened up to welcome her home. Where her daughter was waiting, and I can only imagine the reunion. And now Patty and the sun are shining down on us all.
