Up and at em early for the day for a little road trip therapy. Heading down to the Columbia River Valley that separates Oregon and Washington. It's truly baffling to me that such breathtaking sites exist two hours from my house, and I would have had no idea! At one point I may have literally burst into song, singing How Great Thou Art to myself in the middle of the forest. When words fail, music speaks.

Finally got the itch to break out the scrapbook stuff. I spent the afternoon with my favorite vampires, my favorite parents on my favorite beach, and adding new music to my latest playlist. I have a thing for music on TVD ...and The OC ...and Grey's. Amazing.

Random story. So the other night my sister texted me from Logan saying that she had just met a gal at work. The girl was a travel nurse at an ER in a hospital 10 minutes from my house, and was a fellow single 30 year old. What?! She was in Logan visiting her sister who just had a baby, but was from Vegas. Heidi gave her my phone number and we arranged to meet up for brunch today. It was fabulous! I love meeting new people!

Today for the first time ever, I lost my voice. --Well, there was that one time after the USU-byu basketball game when I woke up at 0600 for an all day voice rehearsal... but that was fleeting. And screaming induced. And in the name of Aggie basketball, it was worth it.
So, last night my nose was stuffy and I'm pretty sure I breathed through my mouth all night. I woke up with a rather painful (to my larynx) cough and absolutely no voice. Soon I progressed to a drippy squeaking ball of infection. Who had no use of the air passages in my nose. So in addition to my daily zyrtec, flonase, breathe-right strips, and allergy air filter, I added mucinex-d and a doxylamine/melatonin combo to my plan for the night. Not enough. Still can't breathe. So I ran to Walgreen's in my sweats (sometimes it's nice living in Renton where people socially accept and expect this) to get a humidifier, afrin with menthol nose spray, and Vick's. And I can finally breathe. Oh happy day!

Girls evening out for Meredy's birthday. We went to H&G Bistro in Sumner and it was fantastic! We ended the night at a country bar for some dancin'. If I'd known that's where the night was going I may have chosen different shoes than my 4" stilettos.... ouch...

Besides getting my car back, working four hours of overtime in which I obtained a cathed urine sample resembling rotten tomato soup, and the most fabulous alone breakfast out, the coolest thing about today was discovering that the subway by my house is now 24 hours! Yeah!

Today instead of lunch Mandi and I went for a walk at my lake park. Loved it. There were baby turtles, baby ducks, baby geese, and pretty flowers. The calm lake was the perfect backdrop to my soundtrack in my head: Ed Sheeran's Kiss Me. I'm so in love with love and feeling extra sentimental lately missing it. I'm not sure why I torture myself by indulging in such amazing music. Wait, yes I am. :)

As this patient rolled in on the medic stretcher I said (out loud -quietly) ew... he's going to code... two hours later as I was walking out the door compressions were being done and et tubes were being placed. It's an eerie good feeling to be so good at your job.
